I some water lines after using water and vinegar....should i use that product you were cleaning with.
I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the Caldera spas, I followed this video exactly and now the pump comes on but no circulation of water, even so called “burp” the actual pump but I don’t want to do anything to void the warranty, can’t get the local spa store to return my call and I’ve only had the spa for a couple of months. AVOID Caldera spa’s at all cost!

These have been installed in my new pool. They are pretty blinding and unsoothing. Can't really enjoy them bc the lights are so bright I practically need sunglasses at night bc the glare off the lights is so intense. It's sad! The lights shoot out of the top of the water. Don't think a shield is available for this model. Don't recommend buying these. Look at other options. Any other option!!!

The MicroBrites seriously need a small shield option. The light shoots out of the top of the water on my sun-shelf into people's eyes like a Pink Floyd laser spectacular.

Thanks for taking the time to do this. Very well done. We have had a Caldera for about 5 years and I have worked to develop a draining and refill technique. We use a hot tub flush before draining. So, once we drain the tub, we use a hose with no nozzle and put it up against the various jets to gently flush water through the pipes to push out the water with the hot tub flush in it. Other than that, we do exactly what you showed. That's reassuring. Thanks again!
hello, I've drained and cleaned my Caldera Vacanza Hot tub. and I've turned the power back on, but it is now just blinking POWER... POWER... and I can't change anything with my mode buttons or change the temp.

How deep was this pool? Very interested in how well Microbrites light up the pool. There seems to be very little information available.
The pool goes from 3' to 5'. It's 1100 square feet of surface area, 48' x 36', and has 6 MIcrobrite lights in it.
From the patio side, is the light "blinding" if you're facing the pool? You often hear don't put lights shining towards house/patio, but these don't seem too bad. Also, what's the optimal depth below the water line to install these? I'm looking at doing 5 for a 20x40 freeform pool. Thanks!
In this pool with it's unique shape, there was no way to have the lights on the non-patio side only. There are 6 lights total illuminating 1100 square feet of pool area. The are roughly 12" below water. The two non-patio lights aren't blinding to people on the patio.

@@oneidalights WE don't feel they are any significant difference in intensity, but in general we prefer the Microbrite as it doesn't have a proprietary niche like the Globrite.
@@gregdelorey5237 how did they work out for you. Are they very bright when facing them?
@@paulfox9694 We ended up going with two Intellibrite lights instead; a large one for deep end, and smaller spa size for the shallow end. Turned out great but would have been interesting to see how the Microbrites worked out.
Does not last 4 weeks. I follow the directions perfectly, and I get 2.5 - 3 weeks tops. I have a 375 gal. spa and when I add a new one I set to 2 as directed. After a week the Smart chlorine levels drop. Then I open to 3. After another week it flips over but there is still a lot of material in the gray section. Then I have to put it under water to get it to not flip. After 2.5 -3 weeks it stays flipped but still material in the grey section, and my chorine levels are close to zero. I end up replacing it with a lot of material left. For the price it should last longer.
We've had great success with these units simplifying spa care. All spas vary, and the SmartChlor is used on demand. If a spa is used more frequently or otherwise is exposed to more contamination, the length that it lasts is reduced. I agree it is simple to use. I have used this product for almost a year. My point was they do not last 4 weeks (20 days max). We use our hot tub 3-4 times a week, always shower before enter, and it is usually only my wife and I. Maybe if you never use it, it could last 4 weeks.

Yellow typically means the pH is low. Adding a pH increaser will correct this. Using the @ease system does help with pH issues that some spa owners have - you might want to try it out. Of course if you really would like a new spa, we're definitely here to help!
How does the Microbrite compare to the Hayward Colorlogic 320 for brightness?
Hard to say without having them in similar environments. I will say it is the brightest 'nicheless' light that we have installed - although we have not used Hayward's 320 light, but we have used many other manufacturer's. This pool is a very large (1100 sq. ft. of surface area), vinyl lined pool, lined with LoopLoc's Opalescent Blues pattern (www.looploc.com/pool-liners). There are a total of 6 Micro Brite lights in the pool. The pool is 'mouse' shaped, the head being 30' in diameter and each ear roughly 12' x 15'. There is one light in each ear and 4 total in the head. The light itself is the smallest in terms of the 'barrel' length and diameter that we've found, which makes it an idea replacement light for old fiber optic lights. They are also able to be installed in a 'dry' or 'wet' conduit. Hope that helps!
I did find out that the Hayward Colorlogic 320 is 23 watts compared to mictobrite 12 if thats any indication as to the output of the light.
Yes, that wattage info is right, I didn't share that earlier because wattage isn't indicative of lumens of light output, so you can't really use that as a comparison. As a simple comparison you can look at the chart on this page for conventional lighting - www.lumigrowth.com/understanding-lumens/. It shows various types of bulbs and their wattage consumption all having the same lumnes of light output. I've not found any reports on lumen output for any of these type lights.

I'm having problems with mine. For starters, I think the burner is far too large. It's a two-ring burner with 36" and 18" of diameter for each ring. Additionally, I'm using lava rock as a medium and I'm not sure how it should be set up. How deep should the burner be below the rock and what size/sizes of rock should I use? Please help! I have a party on Sunday!
